How can I take apart a Swiss Army Knife and put it back together?

I got some crud in one of my Swiss Army Knives. It is really bad. I tried some WD40 and a wire brush but some of it I just can't seem to get. I don't see any way to clean it without taking it apart. I was wondering if there were any ideas on how to put it back together without it being absolutely shoddy. Screws or bolts that are non-standard are OK but I'd like to be able to put the plastic housing back on afterwards.

1. You might have to send it back to the company. They will probably do it for a nominal fee. Though with the price of postage there and back, it may be cheaper to buy a new one.
2. Take the knife to a jeweler. Perhaps they have an ultrasonic bath for cleaning jewelry. Even if it cost a small fee, it would be well worth it.
